Chechnya offers Dagestan help in fight against terrorism

Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov said on Wednesday that Chechnya was ready to offer Dagestan assistance in the fight against terrorism.

Kadyrov was speaking after suicide bombers killed 12 people and injured over 20 in the  Dagestani town of Kizlyar, Gazeta.ru said, citing a presidential spokesman.

“After hearing about the tragedy in Kizlyar, Kadyrov called the Dagestani president to express his condolences…and also to offer the neighboring republic help in the fight against terrorism,” the spokesman said.

“You can count on our help. We are ready to provide any support – only by working together will we be able to rid ourselves of this evil,” Kadyrov told Dagestani President Magomedaslam Magomedov.

The two leaders also agreed to work together on “uncompromising” efforts to locate, detain and eliminate militants. “We cannot allow, under any circumstances.
