The Russian military are testing the new TOS-1A Solntsepyok and Shmel-M flame-throwers in the Volgograd Region, RIA Novosti reports.
The new weapons arrived to the brigades of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection in the district. They will be tested at the Prudboy Range for four weeks.
Solntsepyok has a range of 6km. Shmel-M is a modernized model capable of hitting targets at a distance of 1.7km.
