The Georgian government is ready for talks with the breakaway republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the country's Minister of Defense Irakly Alasaniya says.
"We would like to restore economic ties with Abkhazia and South Ossetia and are going to enhance our efforts to achieve this goal. Speaking about the political aspect I should say that it's the issue of Georgia's relations with Russia and it will be settled in the framework of the Geneva talks," he said.
