Special centres for illegal aliens awaiting deportation are expected to be established in the Russian North Caucasian republic of Kabardino-Balkaria by the beginning of 2014, the head of the republic's press service reports.
Similar centres were established in Moscow ahead of the comming mayoral elections in response to the criticism from centre-right political forces, which believe that the Moscow City Hall is using illegal aliens as workers in order to embezzle the funds allocated to community services.
The initiative has already been criticized by human rights advocates and the liberal opposition.
