Russia enhances economic ties with South Caucasus

Russia's economic ties with the republics of the South Caucasus reflects successful mutual relations and are developing rapidly, deputy head of the Economic Prognosis Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Shirov says.

He also underlined that Russia has close economic ties with Azerbaijan.

"We cooperate successfully in the sphere of the defense industry. We deliver military equipment to the country. Azerbaijan is a very important buyer for us," he said.
