The political program of Georgian candidate for president Georgy Margvelashvili will coincide with that of Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili and the Georgian Dram coalition, as stated by Petre Mamradze, head of the Institute for Strategic Management.
One of the main points of the program is restoration of relations with Russia without confrontation with the West.
Mamradze noted that Saakashvili had been trying to trick the people by telling them that rapprochement with Russia would worsen relations with the West and vice versa.
The program will also pay attention to social development. About 1 million Georgians live in Russia and send about $1 billion to their relatives every year. Reduction of expenditures of Saakashvili, invitation of investments that dropped severely in 2008 and opening of workplaces are some of the initiatives of the program.
Margvelashvili will also restore justice and bring all branches of power to democratic standards.
