Kazakh students accused of helping Tsarnaev plead not guilty

Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's friends, Kazakh students Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, who are accused of helping their friend by destroying some of his belongings proving his guilt, pled not guilty at a hearing on Tuesday, the Guardian reports.

The terrorist attack on the Boston Marathon killed three and wounded hundreds of people on 15 April.

Kadyrbayev's attorney says his client did not know that he was destroying crucial evidence and fully cooperated with the FBI later.

Family members of the defendants say they may demand to undergo trial in the State of New York, as the jury in Boston can hardly be impartial.
