The National Assembly of People’s Power (the Parliament of Cuba) is convening a special session today to discuss the pressing issues of international politics. The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, is expected to address the deputies, RIA-Novosti reports.
Previously, Fidel Castro declared that he would propose a special parliamentary session to bring to the situation of Iran's nuclear program to the Assembly’s attention. In his opinion, the position of the USA and Israel on the subject might lead to a nuclear war, provoked by one of these states.
Fidel Castro, who has addressed the Iranian question in his latest published works and public statements, called on the American president to prevent any possible conflict.
