In the framework of the summit of the Heads of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States held in Gabala, a meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey Ilham Aliyev and Abdullah Gul took place. It was also attended by the foreign ministers of the countries, Elmar Mammadyarov and Ahmet Davutoglu.
The meeting was held behind closed doors.
Among the topics discussed could be the prospects for deepening bilateral relations between the two countries, the implementation of regional energy projects, general situation in the region, including the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as issues of mutual interest, Novosti-Azerbaijan reports.
