The head of the Russian Defence Ministry, Anatoly Serdukov, declared that Russian military health resorts and sanatoria on Abkhaz territory will be re-established and will function as before, ITAR-TASS reports.
The possibility of spending vacations in Abkhazia is very important for Russian servicemen, as many of them cannot go abroad due to military policy, while resorts in Sochi are too expensive.
Mr Serdukov was accompanying the Russian president on his working visit to Abkhazia.
