Syrian opposition headquarters to be moved to Turkey

The National Coalition of the Syrian opposition is moving its headquarters from Egypt to Turkey following the fall of President Mohammed Morsi, the coalition spokesman in Ankara, Khaled Khoja, said in an interview with the Turkish newspaper "Hurriyet".

"The events in Egypt have a negative impact on the situation in Syria. The Syrian opposition in Egypt began to be limited, and the opposition members are leaving the country. We are moving the headquarters of the National Coalition from Egypt to Turkey," Khoja said.

He believes that the change of regime in Egypt is playing into the hands of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
