Egypt's public prosecutor on Monday ordered the detention of deposed President Mohamed Morsi for 15 days pending an investigation into allegations that he participated in "violent acts", Reuters reports.
The need to extend the arrest is related to the continuation of the investigation into charges of conspiring with Hamas during the uprising in 2011 against the then-president Hosni Mubarak, Interfax reports.
