Russia and the US will discuss the organization of the Geneva-2 conference on the Syria conflict next week, spokeswoman of the US State Department Jen Psaki said, reports RIA Novosti.
She noted that the US will be represented by Wendy Sherman, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, and ex-Ambassador to Syria Robert Ford.
The spokeswoman added that the US will continue persuading Syrian rebels to send a a consolidated delegation for the talks. The Syrian government has already agreed to send a delegation.
