General Ishiik Koshaner, the present head of Turkey's ground forces, is to become the new head of General Staff of the army says Trend.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul confirmed Koshaner's apointment at a meeting with the minister of defence, Vedzhi Genule, and the current head, Ilker Bashbuga, who is retiring on August 30.
The new head of the ground forces will be General Erdal Dzheylanogly.
