The Supreme Court of the Russian North Caucasian republic of Karachay-Cherkessia has canceled the arrest of the former mayor of Karachayevsk, Alibek Botashev, the court's press service reports.
The court however refused to return Botashev to office.
Botashev is accused of embezzlement. He was arrested on August 9th.
