The Russian Foreign Ministry has condemned the 35-year prison sentence given to American private Bradley Manning, who leaked hundreds of classified documents to Wikileaks.
According to the ministry's representative for human rights and democracy Konstantin Dolgov, the United States pays no attention to international law and the issue of human rights when its national interests are harmed.
The official blamed the verdict as being "unreasonably harsh."
