The Russian government has approved the purpose program of the Kaliningrad Region for 2013-2017 that allows 4,000 compatriots to be settled in the region every year.
Similar programs were approved for the Archangelsk, Lipetsk, Tula, Chelyabinsk Regions, Kamchatka Territory and Buryatia.
According to statistical data published in early August, about 15,000 compatriots have moved to Russia from abroad.
