Azerbaijani ambassador to Germany discusses trade

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Germany Parviz Shakhbazov told the Eastern Committee of German Economy that Azerbaijan was attractive for German business.


He reminded that Azerbaijan had adopted the single-window principle for property registering, access to finances, taxing and investment protection in 2008.


Shakhbazov said that Azerbaijan was on the 46th position in the report of the World Economic Forum for Global Competitivenes

s of 2011-2012. He noted that Germany was one of the main trade partners of Azerbaijan and that Azerbaijan had a share of 75% of total German trade turnover in South Caucasus.


The German-Azerbaijani foreign trade chamber opened in Baku. The two states cooperate in development of renewable energy sources, education, healthcare, staff training, research, small and medium business.
Azerbaijan will mark the 200th anniversary of the Helenendorf (Goygol) foundation by German settlers.
