Iranian lawyer seeks political asylum in Norway.
The lawyer who defended a woman sentenced to stoning in Iran is seeking political asylum in Norway, Reuters says.
Duaring a press conference in Oslo, barrister Mohammed Mostafaei strongly criticized Iranian law. He said that he had received help from the embassy of Norway in Turkey in making it to Oslo. Mostafaei fled Iran on July 24. His wife and brother were arrested shortly afterwards.
