Georgian president lauds defense minister

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has praised the country's Minister of Defense Irakly Alasania for his efforts to enhance military cooperation with the United States.

Saakashvili has even called Alasania "the most adequate member of the cabinet," Trend reports.

The new government was formed after the opposition Georgian Dream coalition won the parliamentary elections last year.

Alasania for his part has praised President Saakashvili's modernization and integration projects.
