Incumbent President of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan party Ilham Aliyev has officially been registered as a presidential candidate.
The corresponding decision was made today by the country's Central Electoral Commission.
The commission has checked 45 thousand signatures supporting Aliyev's nomination, only 206 of which were considered invalid, the head of the commission, Mazakhir Panakhov, says.
