Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu agreed on the further inter-ministerial consultations over the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria, said today the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"The sides expressed serious concern about the alleged use of chemical weapons in the suburbs of Damascus on August 21. They stressed the necessity to ensure the conditions for the UN experts to conduct a thorough and objective investigation of all the circumstances of the incident. It was agreed to continue consultations on this subject in the inter-ministerial format", reads the statement published on the Foreign Ministry website after the telephone conversations between the two ministers, RIA Novosti reported.
