The law enforcers of Russia carried out 40 operations in the North Caucasian Federal District and killed 15 militants and Bammatkhan Sheykhov, leader of the Buynakskaya militant group, RIA Novosti reports.
Three militant supporters were detained in Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and Ingushetia.
