Security authority Kotiyev’s death may be revenge for surrendering militants

Ingush acting Leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said at the opening of the Ingushetia National TV and Radio Company that murder of Ahmed Kotiyev, secretary of the Security Council, at Nizhniye Achaluki this morning may be revenge for militants planning to surrender, RIA Novosti reports.

Yevkurov reminded that Kotiyev had encouraged 54 militants to give up. Six more were planning to give up later. The Ingush leader supposes that the murder was organized to prevent the militants from laying arms.
