A new working group was formed at the Federation Council of Russia to modernize migration laws, RIA Novosti cites Andrey Klishas, head of the committee for constitutional legislature, legal and judicial affairs of the Federation Council.
It will consist of senators, officials of the Federal Migration Service and the Ministry for Regional Development.
Klishas noted that the working group will improve the system of detention of foreigners and apatrides who will be deported. 21 special centers for illegal migrants will open in Russia by 2016.
