Georgian ex-minister for correction and defense returns

Dmitry Shashkin, Georgian ex-Minister for Corrections and Defenses, has returned to Tbilisi from Munchen this morning, Trend reports.

The ex-minister is ready for questioning by prosecutors and denied tortures of convicts in Georgian prisons.
Ex-Minister for Corrections Khatuna Kalmakhelidze was questioned about the issue earlier.

The Prosecutor General's Office said on August 16 that dozens of criminal cases initiated over tortures of convicts proved involvement of Shashkin in the violations.
