The European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, Stefan Füle, stated at a meeting with an Azeri delegation headed by the chairman of the State Commission on European Integration, Shakhin Mustafayev, that relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union had reached a decisive stage.
“We are at a crucial point in our relations. The year is promising, both for the EU or for Azerbaijan,” Stefan Füle noted, adding that the EU had big ambitions for cooperation.
According to him, due to its reliance on cooperation in the energy sphere, the EU is ready to support Azerbaijan in the financial, educational and justice spheres. The commissioner stressed that it was important to build a future based on democracy and human rights.
