Turkey calls for a large-scaled military operation in Syria, where the armed conflict of the authorities and the rebel forces have already killed thousands of people.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan says a limited air strike suggested the United States would not be enough.

"A limited military operation would not help, we need a large-scaled intervention similar to that in Kosovo, Hurriyet cites Erdogan as saying.
