Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili denied connections between demolition of a minaret in Chela and religious intolerance, News Georgia reports.
Ivanishvili assured that any violations caused by police officers will not be left without a punishment. The state, law and court will restore order, he added.
The minaret demolition last week caused public outrage in Chela. The following decision to restore the minaret was met with new outcries of the locals.
