US Secretary of State John Kerry and Commander of the Free Syrian Army Salim Idris have discussed the planned military operation against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime, ITAR-TASS reports.
Idris approved President Barack Obama’s request to the US Congress to consider a resolution of attacks on the Syrian regime.
The Free Syrian Army leader expressed fears that the regime would use chemical weapons in the near future. Kerry is confident that the US operation would force Assad to admit using chemical weapons and prevent further attacks.
