European Commission reacts to Armenia’s plan to join Customs Union

The European Commission noted that talks with Armenia to sign the association agreement with the EU had been concluded in July 2013, after 3.5 years of negotiations. The agreements will base on common values, political association and economic integration, News.am reports.

The European Commission noted that it will accept the decision of Armenia to join the Customs Union into account and expected clarifications about the way Armenia will make its obligations in the association agreement compatible with the decisions. The European Commission reminded that the association agreement and the DCFTA were the basis for reforms and compatible with economic cooperation between CIS members.
