Col. M. Filimonov, acting FSB Chief of Kabardino-Balkaria, lifted the counter-terrorism operation regime organized on the outskirts of Kakhun, Nizhny Cherek, Stary Cherek, Interfax-South reports.
The police organized the operation after receiving reports about a gang at the Urvansky District. The law enforcers killed Ruslan Makoyev, 1985, leader of the Urvanskaya Gang responsible for murders of police officers and civilians, murder of the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Agrarian University last year and an attack on the head of the Urvansky District that resulted in a police officer dead.
