The 11th Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications Forum 2013 started on September 5 in the Turkish city of Istanbul, Hürriyet Daily News reports
The event was attended by the country's President Abdullah Gül.
Addressing the assembly, President Gül said that, as Turkey enhanced its transportation opportunities, the economy had grown and citizens felt more confident, thus making Turkey a more open society.
