Iran and Turkey discuss fight against illicit drugs

The Iranian and Turkish authorities have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in fighting illicit drugs, Iranian state-run media outlet Press TV reports on Friday.

 

 

During a Thursday meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, the head of the Iranian anti-narcotics police, General Ali Moayedi, who is leading a delegation during an official visit to the country, held talks with head of Istanbul’s anti-drugs police, Saleh Cemen, and discussed strategies to further deepen mutual collaboration. 

 

The two officials also underlined the need for both countries to exchange intelligence and experience, and keep each other informed of the latest development on fighting drugs in their respective countries.
