Acting Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanian, who according to the official results of Sunday's elections received 51.37 percent of the votes, was registered as the elected mayor of Moscow on Wednesday, Interfax reports.
Opposition leader Alexey Navalny, Sobyanin's major competitor, who is said to have received 27.24 percent of the votes, believes the results of the elections are unfair and Sobyanin got less than 50 percent, which means that a second round of the election should be held.
Navalny has already filed a lawsuit.
