Turkish President Abdullah Gül says UN efforts to control the Syrian chemical arsenal are insufficient to resolve the ongoing conflict in the country.
"Western powers, including the United States, should understand that UN control over Syrian chemical weapons won't mean an end of the crisis. We need a more effective approach," the Turkish president said.
