Germany wants neighbour states to accommodate Syrian refugees

Spokesman of the German government Steffen Seiberg said that most Syrian refugees moving to the EU were stopping in Germany or Sweden and that Berlin was hoping to see other states help resolve the problem, RIA Novosti reports.

A charter flight with about 100 Syrian refugees will land in the Hanover Airport in a few hours. Germany plans to evacuate 5,000 Syrians.

Over 18,000 Syrian refugees have moved to Germany since 2011. Germany and Sweden accommodate two thirds of all Syrian refugees moving to the EU.
