A package of intergovernmental documents was signed during the visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan on September 11-13: an agreement on technical cooperation, program for cooperation of foreign offices in 2013-2014, memorandum of understanding of the Healthcare Ministries, memorandum of cooperation of Ministries for Economy, memorandum of understanding of Turkmengaz and the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation, Trend reports

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Berdimuhamedov signed the joint declaration for new partnership of Japan and Turkmenistan.

The document highlights the role of such Japanese structures as JBIC, JETRO, NEXI, ROTOBO and bilateral committees for economic cooperation and expansion of bilateral trade-economic and investment decisions.
