The Investigative Committee of North Caucasian Federal District opened a criminal investigation into the murder of a Russian diplomat in Abkhazia, the official spokesman of the IC, Vladimir Markin said, ITAR-TASS reports.
As reported earlier by Vestnik Kavkaya, on the morning of September 9 in Sukhumi an undefined person fired at the car of the first secretary of the Consular Department of the Embassy of Russia in Abkhazia Dmitry Vishernev. The diplomat died from his wounds.
