Syrian rebels split into two factions

Militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria armed group (believed to be a branch of al-Qaeda) say they have started a military operation against the Free Syrian Army, the group's former ally, el-Vatan el-Arabi newspaper reports.

That's the first armed conflict within the anti-Assad coalition in Syria.
