The Government of the Chechen Republic has established a Ministry of Economic, Regional Development and Trade by merging two ministries, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Ministry of Regional Development, National Policy and Communications. The head of the new Office will be Muslim Khuchiyev, Ramzan Kadyrov announced.
Kadyrov also announced the creation of the Ministry for National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press and Information of the Chechen Republic, which will include the Department of External Affairs and the Government of the Chechen Republic. Shaid Zhamaldaev is the new head of the ministry, the press service of the government of the Chechen Republic reports.
The proposal to have ministries consolidated was made by the chairman of the Chechen government Abubakar Edelgeriev.
"These solutions meet the new challenges facing the government. They will optimize the management system and improve the performance of ministries," Ramzan Kadyrov said.
