Turkish Foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu said today that Turkey was ready to take any means to protect its borders, Trend reports.
He said the crew of the Syrian helicopter shot down by the Turkish military had been warned against coming any closer than 5 miles away from the border. The pilot of the helicopter ignored the warning, he says.
The US backs Turkey’s position in the incident.
