Yevgeny Lazebin appointed as new North Caucasus interior minister

"The Russian president's envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Alexander Khloponin has introduced to regional leaders Col. Gen. Yevgeny Lazebin as the new interior minister for the North Caucasus," - reports INTERFAX.

The introduction took place at a meeting which focused on security in Makhachkala, a Dagestani government source told Interfax.
