Iran wants changes in IAEA

Iranian representative to the IAEA, Reza Najafi, called for reformation of the agency at the IAEA Board yesterday, Trend reports.

The official stated that there was no balance between authority and obligations of the agency. He demanded expansion of the IAEA Board Governors (currently consisting of 35 nations).

Najafi emphasized that Iran will cooperate with the UN agency to overcome the problems. Iran was ready to break through any uncertainty in its nuclear program, according to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, the official added.
