Alexey Mukhin, Director of the Center for Political Information, noted that the Valdai Discussion Club concluding its 10th session in the Novgorod Region yesterday was a very high-ranking meeting. Many experts of the US, Europe and Russia participated in the talks.
Sergey Karaganov, Dean of the Faculty for World Economy and World Politics of the NRU of the HSE, said that searches for national ideas was supposed to become the key issue for discussions. Experts agreed that Russia itself was the idea. Alexey Mukhin said that the idea was easy to find, but hard to percept because it was more of a sense. Mukhin said that the practical role to explain foreigners what Russia was about was fulfilled by 146%.
