Angela Merkel’s CDU/CSU won the parliamentary polls in Germany yesterday and got 41.5% of votes according to party lists and 45.3% according to single-mandate districts.
The Social-Democratic Party got 25.7% according to party lists and 29.4% according to single-mandate districts, the Left Party got 8.6% and 8.2% respectively, the Greens got 8.4% and 7.3%.
Merkel may form the majority of the parliament. Conrad Adenauer is the only one to achieve such domination in the German parliament.
