Azerbaijan is important partner for European states, German expert says

Professor Hans-Henning Schröder says German foreign policy is the foundation of the foreign policy of the European Union and this is not likely to change in the near future.

Azerbaijan as a producer of energy is a very important partner for both Germany and the EU, the expert says, adding that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is also a serious issue for the European Union.

He also says Georgia is a major partner for Europe. "Georgia has adopted a European policy," he says. According to Professor Schröder, the EU is interested in long-term and successful relations with Georgia.
