France prepares for European Olympic Games hosted by Baku in 2015

French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Pascal Monnier said that France was making special preparations for the European Olympic Games that Baku will host in 2015, Trend reports.

UEFA President Michel Platini will arrive for the opening of the Olympic Stadium, the diplomat noted. Monnier said that Baku was developing fast and resembled Tokyo. He expressed confidence that Baku will succeed in hosting the Games. Monnier characterized Azerbaijan as a Caspian state maintaining stability.

The ambassador reminded that the main goal of the Games was to exchange experience. He reminded that Azerbaijan had succeeded in hosting the Eurovision Song Contest. However, there were still problems that need to be solved, such as the traffic jams, the official added.
