Surkov’s authority will not expand in Kremlin

Sergey Ivanov, head of the Russian Presidential Administration, said that there were no plans to expand authority of Vyacheslav Surkov and he will keep the functions Tatyana Golikova had had for Abkhazia and South Ossetia, RIA Novosti reports.

Surkov became Russian Presidential Assistant on September 20, replacing Golikova, who becae the head of the Audit Chamber the same day. Surkov had been Vice Prime Minister and head of the government’s office until May 2013. Sergey Prikhodko replaced him.
