Forum of Caspian states opens in Ashkhabad

The forum of Caspian states has opened in Ashkhabad to discuss the agreement on prevention of emergency situations in the sea, Trend reports.

The talks were organized by the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, State Enterprise for Caspian Sea Affairs. Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan attend the meeting. The previous talks were held in Ashkhabad in April 2013.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov initiated development of the agreement at the summit of heads of Caspian states in Baku in November 2010.
